And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 shall We treat those who believe and do good works the same as those who spread corruption in the land; shall We treat the pious the same as the wicked? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 We bestowed Solomon on David who was an excellent devotee, for he turned to God in penitence. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared, 32 "Bring them back to me." then began he to pass his hand over (their) legs and their necks. 33 We tried Solomon by placing upon his throne a [lifeless] body; and thereupon he turned towards Us]. 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 So we subjugated the wind to his service which carried his merchandise wheresoever he wished; 36 And made the demons subservient to him, all builders and divers. 37 and others joined together by (iron) fetters. 38 (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
