Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who deny the Book and what We have sent down with Our apostles, will soon come to know 70 when fetters will be placed around their necks and chains will drag them 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 It will then be said to them: “Where are those whom you 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 They will be told, "This (torment) is the result of your unreasonable happiness on the earth and of your propagation of falsehood. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 HENCE, remain thou patient in adversity - for, verily, God's promise always comes true. And whether We show thee [in this world] something of what We hold in store for those [deniers of the truth,] or whether We cause thee to die [ere that retribution takes place - know that, in the end,] it is unto Us that they will be brought back. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
